Borderlands 2 è stato ufficialmente confermato anche per Linux. Il team alla base del porting su Linux è lo stesso che si è occupato del porting del gioco su Mac.
Al momento non c'è una data ufficiale ma almeno c'è la dichiarazione del team "Si, Borderlands 2 per Linux è reale. Stiamo lavorando duro in questi mesi e vi daremo una data di rilascio il prima possibile."
